The last Saturday in September means only one thing in Australia: the AFL Grand Final.
Adelaide Crows and Richmond Tigers will compete this Saturday for the 2017 AFL flag and each side has caused plenty of noise in the lead-up (notably, Brownlow Medal winner Dustin Martin). But one of the game’s biggest identities also sparked headlines this week, despite having nothing to do with the finals.
Gary Ablett Jr captained the Gold Coast Suns from its inaugural season in 2011 until 2016. But the dual premiership and Brownlow Medallist this week has officially requested to be transferred back to Geelong for the 2018 season.
Last year, Eternity spoke candidly with Gary Ablett Jr – and other AFL players – about more than just action on the field. Watch our video interview to learn more about what Ablett Jr thinks kicks the most goals in life.
