In schools and churches around the country, Quiz Worx has been bringing the message of Jesus to children since 1998. But this is no ordinary kids ministry: they use puppets.

They have recently received a large donation from a group of Christians who are passionate about the getting the message of Jesus out.

As an organisation that relies almost completely on donations, this is going to help them continue doing the work they have been doing for 17 years, but they have plans to explore new avenues too.

Historically focused in NSW and QLD, Creative Director Matt Gorton says, “the tagline of Quiz Worx is ‘sharing Jesus with kids everywhere’. This [donation] will give us the opportunity to start to explore the ‘everywhere’ a bit more”.

“We want to see where and how we can support other people throughout Australia and maybe even the rest of the world. We’d love to go anywhere and everywhere,” says Matt.

In 2014 alone Quiz Worx presented Jesus to over 50,000 kids, live. But General Manager Nic Koeck says, “We want to keep doing what we’re dong. While we reached 50,000 kids last year there’s still so many kids who haven’t heard about Jesus.”

Matt says, “fifty per cent of our work is done in state schools, working in conjunction with scripture teachers. That’s our biggest passion: to get into state schools because we know there are so many kids who wont have any other real Christian input.

“We love working with the scripture teachers who are in there week by week, building relationships with kids and sharing the great news of Jesus,” says Matt.

The ministry of Quiz Worx “is an incredible privilege,” says Matt. “I’m blown away that God has allowed us to do this for such a long time.”
