What we know so far:
- On March 22, at about 8am local time (6pm AEDT), two bombs were set off at Brussels’s Zaventem airport, and one on the Brussels underground metro system.
- At least 11 died in the airport blasts and 20 in the metro attack; the wounded number in the hundreds.
- Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

A prayer for Brussels:
Lord God,
We admit to confusion and anger over the latest attacks in Brussels. We pray for Belgium, that you would be their strength and refuge, a very present help in trouble. We ask for no further loss of life, and for wisdom for the response teams. We pray that Christians throughout the world will seek to love their Muslim neighbours. Amen.

Tonight there is an extra prayer meeting in our church here in Hasselt, for the families and people hit so hard and brutally with this terrorist activity. May God use this to bring people to Himself as we see how suddenly we can face eternity.”
