The 55th Annual Grammy awards, held today, have seen English Christian worship leader and songwriter Matt Redman emerge at the head of the Gospel and Christian music categories.
Redman’s wins include Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance and Best Contemporary Christian Music Song for 10 000 Reasons.
Redman tied with Israel Houghton for the award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Song. Houghton’s winning song was Your Presence Is Heaven.
Gospel singing duo Mary Mary won Best Gospel Song for Go Get It, the lead single from their greatest hits collection, while Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae won Best Gospel album for “Gravity” and Toby Mac picked up Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for “Eye On It.”
