A leading Australian atheist with a massive Twitter following (@MrOzAtheist) has taken on a challenge by the City Bible Forum to investigate the Easter story for himself.
CBF have teamed up with Bible Society Australia to produce a booklet containing 11 readings titled ‘The Week That Changed the World’ to be distributed in the lead up to Easter.
On Wednesday this week, Donovan, who is MrOzAtheist tweeted a video of himself and the City Bible Forum’s Rob Martin discussing the upcoming challenge:

Donovan has agreed to share his reflections in early April at a CBF event in Melbourne. In the video, he explains he has an open mind, and wants to understand the significance of the Easter story as well as to form his own opinion on it.
“Whether I agree with it or believe in it entirely, you are right, the Easter story has changed the world. So I am interested in it from that historical point of view, if nothing else. There is something significant behind the story. What that is, I’m not sure. But it’s certainly interesting, if nothing else.”
“Also, I’m not under the impression that I know everything and there’s no piece of information that’s escaped me… If I become aware of something new, finding out what my opinion is, or whether I agree because or disagree because and have the reasons for why I think the way I do.”
