“I’m a little bit overwhelmed at the goodness of God.” – Darlene Zschech
Just before going on stage, Darlene spoke to the Facebook live stream audience, with her granddaughter in her arms, “We’re going to have a great night; hope you can join us somehow. The team have been rehearsing so well, last night was amazing, and I’m a little bit overwhelmed at the goodness of God. Thanks for joining us, hope we’ll see you soon!”
Zschech and the team warmed up the church with snippets from a couple of songs:
“I can’t stop singing ‘bout your love, I can’t stop singing bout your love. My heart is overcome. And I, can’t stop singing bout your love, everything you’ve done, my heart is overcome”
“I know your eyes are on me, you won’t turn your face away. Only love within your gaze. And all my heart is on you. I will rest under your shade, all my hope is in your name.”
“I will walk unharmed, angels all around, I will trust and not be moved.”
“You guys are rockin’ it.” – Darlene Zschech
After the warmup, she encouraged the church saying, “You guys are rockin’ it.” Then she introduced her husband Mark who began, “I think that whenever you take a step forward, in terms of (the) Kingdom, it means that you’ve got to take a risk. It means that you’ve got to go into some unknown spaces, you don’t know what’s really going to happen next, and that’s what we’re doing here tonight. I just think it’s pretty awesome that here we are in Charmhaven recording a live praise and worship album.”
“We pray that whatever happens with this album, with this music, with the songs, it will bring glory to you.” – Mark Zschech
Mark then prayed over the church: “Father, we just thank you for the chance to gather to worship, to be in your presence, and to take new ground for the Kingdom. We pray that whatever happens with this album, with this music, with the songs, it will bring glory to you. It’ll help people to move closer to you, Father, and that it’ll actually bring the presence of the Holy Spirit no matter where they are: in the car, in the workplace, on the train, on the bus, that wherever they are, they will get a close glimpse of who you are to them. We ask all of this in your strong name.”
“from the first day here at Hope UC, this has been a powerful scripture for us. It’s really guided us and shaped many of the things that we do.” – Mark Zschech
Mark Zschech encouraged the church with Isaiah 61: “From the first day here at Hope UC, this has been a powerful scripture for us. It’s really guided us and shaped many of the things that we do.”
